The new lens only zooms to 20mm at the long end, rather than 24mm on the prior model, though it does go slightly wider to 10mm rather than 11mm. This is a welcome tradeoff, as most people looking to buy this optic will likely have access to a 24mm focal length (with a lens like the Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8L or Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L).
